Access this menu by opening your main navigation, tapping SETTINGS, and entering your Master Passcode.
Studio Logo
Tap the empty image box on the left side of the screen (TAP HERE TO ADD YOUR LOGO) to brand the PRF app as your own. This logo sits front and center throughout the client experience. For best results, AirDrop or take a well-lit, landscape-mode photo of your shop’s logo using your iPad.
Address Formatting
Your waivers require accurate legal addresses. PRF gives you two toggles to control how addresses are collected based on your location:
USE U.S. ADDRESS FORMAT: Leave this toggled on if your studio operates in the United States. Toggle it off to adapt to international postal formats.
MOST CLIENTS HAVE U.S. ADDRESSES: Leave this toggled on if your local clientele is based in the US. If you run a studio outside the US, toggle this off so the default entry matches your local region. (Clients visiting from out of town can still manually override this on their individual forms).
Units
Select how your studio measures piercing jewelry. PRF will display all jewelry sizes across the app in the unit you choose:
Hybrid: Posts (in), Gems (mm) - Non-Gem Tops (in)
Imperial (in): All measurements strictly in inches.
Metric (mm): All measurements strictly in millimeters.
Piercers List
Tap this section to open the ADD STUDIO PIERCERS menu. Type the real, legal names of every piercer on staff into the text field and tap + ADD. Avoid nicknames or handles—PRF generates binding legal documents, and you need the actual name on file for liability protection. You can remove former staff members anytime by tapping the red delete icon next to their name.
Studio Credentials
Fill in your exact shop details, including your STUDIO POPULAR NAME, STUDIO LEGAL NAME, and full physical address.
Note on Legal Names: You must enter your exact registered business name here. This field auto-populates the liability clauses of your waiver. The PDF generated by PRF will automatically append "PIERCING STUDIO" immediately after the name you provide.
Health Codes
Tap Health codes to input the specific local or state health codes governing your region (e.g., COMPLIES WITH 555-51C-5>55 CALIFORNIA CODE). If you aren't sure what your local codes are, check your old paper waivers or consult your local health inspector.
Security Passcodes
PRF uses a two-tier passcode system. This prevents front-of-house staff or piercers from accidentally altering your legal waivers or settings. Note: PRF support developers do not have access to your passcodes. If you lose the Master Passcode, you must uninstall the app and reinstall it.
Edit Master Code: The default Master Passcode is 1234. Change this immediately. This code acts as a skeleton key, unlocking the entire Settings menu and Admin features. Management only.
Edit Piercer Code: Create one shared passcode for your piercing staff. This grants access to the Piercer Notes Pane (for previewing and signing waivers), the Returning Client search flow, and the Knowledge Base. It strictly blocks access to Settings and Purchases.
PRF App Login
Located second from the bottom, this field acts as a sticky note for management. Use it to type in the exact Apple ID or Google email address used to purchase the PRF subscription. Studios frequently forget which email is tied to the app. Parking it here ensures you have the exact credentials ready if you ever need technical support.
Devices
This section displays the Unique Device Identifier (UDID) strings of the current iPad in use, as well as any other iPads sharing your studio's subscription. Tap the red minus icon next to a UDID to unlink old or broken iPads from your account.
Saving Your Setup
Whenever you make an adjustment in the Studio tab, always tap the yellow SAVE & VERIFY button on the bottom left before exiting. PRF will automatically back up these settings to the cloud account you linked during setup.
